Student Rooms İn The Colonnaded Courtyard

Located along the north and south sides of the courtyard, these rooms were once used by monastic students and for spiritual retreat. Accessible through elegant colonnaded walkways, the rooms vary in size and reflect the daily rhythm of education and devotion within the monastery.

Each room features loophole-style windows and small wall niches. The ceilings are built with vaulted stone architecture, and both the walls and vaults are constructed using basalt stone, a material known for its durability and natural insulation.

These modest yet functional spaces offer a glimpse into the quiet, disciplined life of monastic students in the past.
