This large rectangular room stretches from east to west and features numerous wall niches. Traces of an arch dividing the room into two parts can be seen in the center.
The south wall has four windows, with smaller windows positioned above them. On the east side, there is a door leading to another section and three niches, with the central niche resembling a hearth. The north wall includes small and large niches and an opening overlooking the church entrance.
The ceiling has been restored, and the walls are constructed using finely cut stone and basalt.
As the largest room in the monastery, the Metropolitan Room is believed to have been used as a reception area for guests.
